For more information call (276) 596-6168.

Chaplain (Pastoral Care)
CVMC's Pastoral Care Program, an all volunteer service, provides spiritual support and counseling 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. A request for clergy services can be made directly through your doctor, nurse, the hospital operator or by dialing the Chaplain directly at (276) 596-6588. If you wish to have your own clergy or church contacted, please ask a nurse to assist you.

Diagnostic Imaging
Our state-of-the-art diagnostic services include a combination PET/CT scanner that offers incredible detail and information. Other diagnostic tools include CT Scans, Myelogram, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, conventional radiology and Sleep Studies.

Emergency Services
Our Emgergency Department is open around the clock, seven days a week, to provide urgent care for illnesses and injuries. Evaluation by a triage nurse helps assure that patients in immediate risk are treated first.

Heart & Vascular Services
The cardiologists and vascular surgeons on the CVMC medical staff are experts in their fields. We provide them with a non-invasive cardiovascular lab, cardiac catheterization suite and surgical suites equipped with the latest technology and a skilled, experienced staff.

Intensive Care Unit
This specialty unit cares for critically ill and injured patients.

Laboratory Services
Our full service laboratory provides the testing services that enable physicians to diagnose and treat their patients.

Lithotripsy
This non-invasive procedure "shatters" kidney stones without surgery. Instead, shockwaves break the stone into sand-like particles that pass easily from the body.

Maternity Care
All traditional obstetrical services are provided from labor and delivery to ceasarean births and postpartum care of both mother and infant. Our comfortably-furnished labor & delivery rooms help keep the occasion a family affair.

Pharmacy Services
Our staff of pharmacists and technicians continue to develop programs and procedures to reduce risk of medication errors. A full-service pharmacy, located in the Medical Office Building next to the hospital, is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Rehabilitation Services
Anyone who has ever needed rehabilitation for a serious injury or illness will tell you, "It's hard work." Our dedicated staff members motivate and encourage patients to reach new heights of recovery each day. Among the inpatient services we offer are physical and occupational therapy, speech language pathology, social work, psychology and rehabilitative nursing. We also offer complete outpatient therapy, including Southwest Virginia Pediatric Rehabilitation for children from birth through age 21. For more information, please call (276) 596-6433.

Skilled Nursing Unit
This inpatient program provides rehabilitative and restorative care for patients who require additional time in the hospital. The unit bridges the gap between acute hospital care and a return home or to assisted living.

Sleep Studies
Two specially-furnished Sleep Studies rooms are used to diagnose sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia and restless leg syndrome. Our medical director is a board-certified pulmonologist who has received additional, specialty training in sleep medicine, and our sleep technologists are also certified. Additionally, sleep studies are read on-site -- not sent away -- for faster diagnosis. For more information, call 276-596-6226.

Surgical Services
Our inpatient and outpatient surgery suites include specialized orthopedic and cystology rooms. The Day Surgery department has its own designated recovery area and family waiting room.
